Silbury Hill
Silbury Hill, located near Avebury in Wiltshire, is the largest man-made prehistoric mound in Europe. Constructed around 2400 BC, the purpose of this immense earthen structure remains a mystery. Standing 30 metres high and covering an area of over 2 hectares, Silbury Hill is an impressive feat of ancient engineering.
